Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Limited Edition ‘65 Princeton Reverb Knotty Pine in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch and an aftermarket slip cover. This Limited Edition version of the '65 Princeton Reverb features a stained Knotty Pine enclosure, loaded with a 12” Celestion G12 Cream speaker.
This amp captures the robust, sparkling cleans of Fender's mid-60s Princeton Reverb circuit with great detail and nuance. Warm and clear at low volumes, the amp breaks up smoothly when pushed hard and is an excellent pedal platform. And with tube-driven spring Reverb and a nice choppy tube-driven tremolo circuit, the Princeton's onboard effects round out the ideal studio and stage combo.
While a Princeton Reverb traditionally has a 10" driver, the 12" Celestion G12 Cream speaker offers more low end and headroom, rated at a full 90 watts. This speaker compliments the Princeton's circuit very well, delivering a laid-back attack with pristine chime and warm, bubbling lows. Decidedly vintage-flavored in its response, this speaker yields exceptional definition and a smooth, organic growl. The tube complement includes a pair of 6V6 power tubes, three 12AX7 and one 12AT7 preamp tubes, and one 5AR4 rectifier.
The stained (satin) Knotty Pine enclosure highlights the dynamic knots and whorls in the pine, boasting a Limited Edition badge on the back, with other cosmetic touches including a leather handle, cane grillcloth, and vintage-style jewel LED. There is one small, slightly pushed-in area of the cane grillcloth along the top edge (highlighted in the photo set), with a few minor dings and scuffs on the enclosure.
The original two-button footswitch and an aftermarket padded slip cover are included.
