Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Jazz Bass '62 vintage reissue model JB62-US in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. An uncommon, discontinued Made in Japan bass sold only in the Japanese domestic market, this 1962 reissue Jazz Bass is an upper-tier model with USA-made Fender pickups and vintage-spec touches including full-size tuner baseplates and spiral bridge saddles. The fit and finish of this Jazz Bass rivals Fender's American Vintage line of instruments, and the "Old" Lake Placid Blue Finish is a darker and more icy iteration of this classic custom color, designed to be more vintage-correct in tint and saturation.

The pickups have plenty of sweet midrange and articulate growl, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump when you dial back the Tone knob. The instrument weighs 9lbs 4oz, yielding a tonal platform with ample sustain and punch. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jazz Bass plays well with low action, spot-on intonation, and roundwound 45-100 strings.

The maple neck has a medium U-shaped profile carve at the nut, with a gentle increase in additional heft further up the fretboard, measuring .860" deep at the 1st fret and 1.010" at the 12th. The thick chocolate brown slab rosewood fretboard has lightly rolled edges with a 7 1/4" vintage-spec radius and flawless slender frets that have their full factory height. The bass conforms to traditional Fender spec with a 34" scale length and 1 1/2" nut width, playing cleanly up the straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. On the headstock, the tuners have correct full-size vintage-spec baseplates with clover buttons and bright nickel plating. The ambered peghead sports the correct '62 style "Fender Jazz Bass" decal too, and the JD15-prefix serial is present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, with stock USA-made pickups. The stock brown tortoise pickguard contrasts subtly with the Old Lake Placid Blue finish, and the chrome hardware and plastic parts are near mint. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a couple pinhead-sized nicks on the body as a whole, while the ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

An upgraded molded hardshell case is included.
