Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Jazz Bass '62 vintage reissue model JB62-US in 100% original condition and in perfect working order with a gloss Black finish. An uncommon and discontinued Made in Japan bass sold only in the Japanese domestic market, this 1962 reissue Jazz Bass is an upper-tier model with USA-made Fender pickups and vintage-spec touches including full-size tuner baseplates and spiral bridge saddles.

The pickups have plenty of sweet midrange and articulate growl, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump when you dial back the Tone knob. The instrument weighs 9lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with comfortable action, spot-on intonation and roundwound 45-100 strings.

The maple neck has a medium-depth U-shaped neck profile carve with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .975" at the 12th. The thick chocolate brown slab rosewood fretboard features a 7 1/4" radius and slender vintage-style frets that have their full factory height and show zero wear. The bass conforms to traditional Fender spec with a 34" scale length and 1 1/2" nut width. On the headstock, the tuners have correct full-size baseplates with long stems and clover buttons. The ambered peghead sports the correct '62 style "Fender Jazz Bass" decal too.

All of the electronics work as they should, with stock USA-made pickups. The stock pale mint green pickguard contrasts with the gloss Black finish, and the chrome hardware and plastic parts are well-kept. Cosmetic wear on the body includes a couple dings and one small chip in the wood just forward of the bridge pickup, a few finish scratches across the back, and light scuffing on the back lower bout body edge and back of the bass-side body horn. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A gigbag is included.
