Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Japan Exclusive '60s Telecaster Custom in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This "Made in Japan" Telecaster is a rare model, meant only for the Japanese domestic market as the model name suggests, and features an Ice Blue Metallic gloss finish framed by cream top and back binding. This guitar has pair of original Fender Japan Tele single coils with a flat-pole bridge pickup, offering chewy twang in the bridge position and silky smooth bell-like chime at the neck. The guitar weighs 7lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and low action.The neck has a fairly chunky C profile carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th. The particularly thick slab rosewood fretboard boasts Fender's traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius, and the slender vintage-style frets retain their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing virtually no wear. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the neck is straight with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well, and an era-correct "spaghetti" Fender Tele logo completes the vintage look.All of the stock electronics work as they should, the chrome hardware is positively gleaming, and the "Pat. Pending" bridge plate has a trio of spiral saddles. The Ice Blue Metallic finish is the perfect shade of this classic custom color, with virtually no aging of the clear coat, accented by the original pale mint green pickguard. Extremely well-kept, cosmetic wear is limited to light pick scuffing across the pickguard extending to the forward edge of the control plate. There's barely a scratch on the gloss body finish, and the lighty ambered neck profile finish is equally pristine.The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
