Up for sale, a 2015 Fender Classic ‘69 Blue Flower Telecaster in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. A limited run Fender Japan Tele, this model faithfully captures the appearance of the hippie-approved 1969 original, with a textured foil material under a bursted gloss finish.

Tonewoods include a basswood body and one-piece maple neck for a smooth, articulate natural acoustic tone. The Vintage-Style single coil pickup pair delivers plenty of sparkling cut in the bridge position and sweet, bell-like chime at the neck. This guitar weighs 8lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a chunky U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .870" deep at the 1st fret and .935" at the 12th. The maple fingerboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius, and slender fretwire shows only light wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-5. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"), and the headstock features a block Tele logo and Kluson-style tuning machines. The “Made in Japan” text and JD15-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics function as intended, with a standard Tele control configuration, and the wiring harness is untouched. The chrome-plated hardware all shines like new, including the flat-topped knurled knobs, control plate, and “Pat. Pend” bridge base with steel barrel saddles. The transparent single-ply plexi pickguard has some additional paint on the back surrounding the neck pickup route.

Exceedingly clean, cosmetic wear on the gloss finish is limited to just a couple faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included, along with the Japanese factory hangtags and warranty card.
