Up for sale, a 2015 ESP E-II Horizon III in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A sleek, expertly-crafted instrument with maple neck through body construction, solid mahogany body wings, and a highly figured carved two-piece flame maple cap, this E-II Horizon III is designed for speed and high gain. Loaded with Seymour Duncan USA-made pickups, this ESP features an SH2N (Jazz) neck pickup and a TB14 (Custom Custom) bridge pickup. Duncan's Jazz humbucker offers plenty of clarity and muscle, and when distorted the tone is full and bright for articulate speed runs. The TB14 Trembucker (Custom Custom) is a versatile, all-around high-output humbucker with pronounced bass and treble registers and a scooped midrange that supports punchy rhythms and cutting leads. A global coil tap push/pull Tone knob further broadens the available sounds with a trio of options for single coil sparkle and cut. The guitar weighs 8lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with slinky action, accurate intonation, and fresh 9-42 strings.

The maple neck has what ESP describes as a "thin U" profile carve, capped with a bound ebony fretboard. The profile has quite a bit of overall substance, with a surprising amount of shoulder in every register, for a rounder, fuller feel than many shred-centric instruments. The profile measures .870" deep at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th. The flawless extra jumbo fretwire plays cleanly up the 24 fret range, and the fretboard has a flat 305mm radius. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the locking nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock face echoes the top with a flame maple veneer, and the original Gotoh tuners function flawlessly.

The electronics function as intended, with the Seymour pickups coupled to Master Volume and Tone controls and a three-way pickup selector toggle. The Tone control has push/pull functionality, coil-tapping both humbuckers. The genuine USA-made Floyd Rose vibrato functions flawlessly for deep dive bombs and every shade of expressive work, and an EVH "D-Tuna" has been installed, allowing for instant Drop D tuning. The tremolo route was also enlarged slightly to accommodate this hardware on the Low E string end of the route only, and it's extremely clean work and could pass for a factory route (although it is aftermarket).

The See Thru Black Sunburst finish (STBLKSB) highlights the straight tiger flame figuring on the bookmatched maple top, with deep carve on the edges framed by cream binding. Cosmetic wear on the gloss includes light buckle rash in the clear coat on the upper bout on the back, and just a few additional faint finish scratches and tiny marks on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original hardshell case is included.
