Up for sale, a 2014 Gibson SGJ in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The SGJ boasts solid mahogany construction, a ‘50s Rounded neck profile, ‘61 Zebra humbuckers, cryogenically tempered fretwire, and a smooth satin Cherry nitro lacquer finish.
The mahogany body delivers plenty of warmth and midrange growl, paired with treble immediacy via the maple neck, and this SGJ is lightweight at 6lbs 14oz. The ‘61 Zebra humbuckers feature Alnico V magnets, very much vintage-inspired tonally with a touch more bite and oomph. The bridge pickup is aggressive and lively, while the neck is slightly broader with a woody chop. This SGJ has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The satin Cherry nitro lacquer finish has an open-grain feel and a slightly aged look very similar to Gibson’s previous Faded Cherry finish, with subtle pick scuffing on top and just a couple tiny dings on the top and back at the lower bout. The satin lacquer on the neck profile is flawless.
