Up for sale, a 2014 Fender Precision Bass left-handed ‘62 vintage reissue model PB62/LH in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Precision Bass was crafted exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a basswood body, maple neck, and a slab rosewood fretboard. Weighing 8lbs 5oz, this bass delivers the fundamental thump, warmth and sweet articulation that defines the Precision tone. We’ve had this Precision Bass professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, gaining a hair more heft in the upper registers, measuring .840” deep at the 1st fret and .985” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4“ radius, and the slender fretwire is nigh flawless. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the bone nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width. On the headstock, the clover-button tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, and the “Made in Japan” text and JD14-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

The traditional electronics work as they should, with the original pickup wired to Master Volume and Tone controls. The chrome plating on the knurled knobs and bridge is quite clean, and plastics include the brown four-ply tortoise pickguard. Cosmetic wear on the gloss three-tone Sunburst finish is limited to a handful of minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.

A Gator-brand gigbag is included.
