Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2014 ESP Original Series (Custom Shop) Amaze-ASM bass in exceptional condition and in perfect working order with a factory upgrade See Thru Blue finish (a $300 value on top of this ESP's already hearty new price tag). Expertly crafted exclusively for the Japanese market as part of the Original Series, this high tiered ESP features a swamp ash body, maple neck and fretboard, and stock pair of Custom Lab pickups. The top end response of the maple fretboard and smooth, complex midrange of the ash body translate well through the pickups for an exceptional blend of low end thump and top end definition, while the active Cinnamon three-band EQ offers detailed tonal sculpting. Weighing 8lbs 6oz, this ESP bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation. The one-piece maple neck has a "Thin U" shaped profile carve at the nut, offering more roundness and heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .800” deep at the 1st fret and .899” at the 12th. The maple fretboard features a compound 10-16" radius and pristine medium jumbo fretwire, playing easily up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 34”, and the stock nut measures 1 1/2" in width, carved of bone and ensuring ideal articulation. On the headstock, the black Gotoh clover button tuning gears turn very smoothly and hold pitch well. The stock electronics function as intended, with a Master push/pull Volume control with EQ bypass, Pickup Blend control, and three EQ bands for the pair of Custom Lab pickups. The Gotoh bridge can accommodate either top loader or through body stringing with individual adjustable saddles. The battery compartment is easily accessible on the back of the body via a flip out “ashtray." The black plating on the hardware has largely worn through, and all of the original knobs are intact. The transparent pickguard complements the gloss See Thru Blue finish, revealing the prominent, dynamic grain of the ash body. Cosmetic wear is limited to light scuffing on the guard, faint buckle rash central to the back, and faint scuffs/marks relegated to the treble side lower bout body edge. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish. The original ESP gigbag is included.
