Up for sale, a 2014 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Classic 4H in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Featuring a gloss White finish and highly figured birdseye maple neck capped with a thick slab rosewood fretboard, this StingRay is a stunner.

The Stingray Classic pays tribute to the original Music Man design from the late 1970s with added modern refinements. A string through body bridge, mute kit, vintage-spec neck profile carve, and 7.5" fretboard radius are key features that harken back to the early days of Music Man production, while a modern six-bolt neck attachment and an easy access truss rod wheel ensure solid construction with no hassle adjustments. The tone remains true to the original with an ash body, two-band EQ, and a Music Man Alnico humbucking pickup. Punchy, articulate, and positively huge-sounding, the single humbucking pickup can deliver top end articulation with rich growl and thick, thumpy low end. The bass weighs 9lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with modest shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .925" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features pristine slender fretwire and a 7.5” radius, and the bass plays cleanly up the 34“ scale with a straight neck and responsive truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16“ in width, and the headstock features lightweight Music Man-branded and Schaller-made chrome clover button tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics function flawlessly, with a vintage-spec two-band active preamp, and controls include a Master Volume in addition to the Treble and Bass knobs. The chrome plating on the hardware is positively gleaming, and the hardened steel bridge features individual string mutes with a through-body design for optimal resonance. There's barely a scratch on the bright White gloss finish, accented by a red tortoise pickguard. The ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is equally pristine, highlighting prominent birdseye figuring extending across the entire profile and headstock.

The original hardshell case is included.
