Up for sale, a 2014 Edwards by ESP E-PO-105D/QM Potbelly in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag. An uncommon model made in Japan by ESP under the Edwards banner, this Potbelly features a solid mahogany body and a highly figured, bookmatched two-piece quilted maple top, loaded with a pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The Seymour Duncan pickup pair comprises a SH-1 PAF in the neck position and an SH-4 JB at the bridge. The Duncan SH-1 was designed in the spirit of the original PAF; delivering sweet, singing sustain, wound to deliver clear, full chords with just a touch of midrange growl when you really dig in. The SH-4 JB in the bridge position is Duncan’s original hot-rodded humbucker, offering rich, powerful low end, crisp and detailed highs, and a slight upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords and translates to a singing, vocal-like quality for melodic playing. This Potbelly weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The mahogany neck has a medium depth C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .905” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a 12” radius with flawless medium jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 43mm (1 11/16”) in width, carved from bone for optimal sustain and note clarity. The headstock features gold-plated Gotoh tuners which turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. All of the electronics function as intended, with the Seymour Duncan humbuckers wired to the stock harness, governed by a three-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The hardware has extremely clean gold plating, including the dome-topped knurled knobs, ABR-1-style bridge and stopbar, and pickup covers. Both pickup covers retain their factory stickers, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen since new.The gloss See Thru Purple finish highlights the three-dimensional figuring on the quilted maple top, and there's barely a scratch on the body. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is similarly flawless. The original ESP-branded padded gigbag is included.
