Up for sale, a 2013 Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 "10 Top" in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and featuring a bookmatched carved flame maple 10 Top finished in gloss Autumn Sky. A tremolo-equipped model with 57/08 Treble and Bass humbuckers, this Custom 22 delivers vintage warmth and articulation, ideal for robust clean tones and harmonic-rich drive. And via the five-way pickup selector, both humbucker tones and coil tapped single coil sounds are available. At 7lbs 3oz, this PRS is featherweight considering its tonewood construction, offering plenty of sweet sustain and a lively natural acoustic tone that translates exceptionally well through the pickups. This Custom 22 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.
The mahogany neck has PRS' Pattern Thin profile, a medium depth shape with round shoulders and a very inviting feel, measuring .825” deep at the 1st fret and .870” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius, featuring Birds In Flight inlay with inner and outer pieces of abalone and pearl, extremely intricate and well-executed in its presentation. The medium jumbo fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays effortlessly in all registers up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 25”, and the nut measures 1 11/16“ in width. On the back of the headstock, the inked serial number and "10" denoting the 10 Top figuring on the maple is present, along with Phase III PRS-branded locking tuning machines that turn smoothly.
The electronics function flawlessly, with the 57/08 humbuckers wired to a five-way blade switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. Hardware includes the vibrato tailpiece, and the pairing of gold and nickel plating shines like new. This guitar is a real stunner, with tight bookmatched tiger flame on the carved two-piece bookmatched maple top, highlighted by the gloss Autumn Sky finish. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few very small nicks on the bass-side lower bout on the back, and an absolutely tiny amount of buckle wear between the edge of the belly carve and the tremolo cavity cover.
