Up for sale, a 2013 Martin Custom Shop 00-45 in collector grade, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A custom-ordered example, Martin spared absolutely no expense in the construction of this 00-45, with extensive abalone purling and inlay befitting the 45 tier, flame koa binding, a slotted headstock with vertical “C.F. Martin” inlay, and vintage-spec construction.
Tonewoods include an X-braced (scalloped) Adirondack spruce top, bookmatched Madagascar rosewood back/sides, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard. The 00 body shape results in an instrument that is particularly detailed and crisp, perfect for fingerstyle applications, with a taut immediacy balanced via the breezy warmth inherent to Madagascar rosewood.
