Up for sale, a 2013 Ibanez J. Custom model RG8228E (JCRG813) in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, and hangtags. An extremely rare Ibanez 8-string from the Fujigen factory’s Craft Division, this limited edition model was produced in sparingly small numbers, designed as a “spot model” for Japanese retailer Ishibashi. Premium features include a bookmatched AAA flame maple top, gloss Black Opal finish, and a pair of EMG 808 pickups.
Tonewoods include a two-piece ash body, bookmatched AAA carved flame maple top, five-piece maple/wenge neck, and bound 24-fret rosewood fretboard. The active EMG 808 pickups are based on the original 707, featuring Alnico V-loaded, wide-aperture coils, and delivering the tone, presence, and dynamic feel of that classic EMG while faithfully capturing the full sonic response of all eight strings. The lows are punchy and focused, with no muddiness at all, and the treble response is balanced and articulate.
