Up for sale, a 2013 Ibanez RG7570Z in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case, factory paperwork, COA, and case candy. Produced at the venerable Fujigen factory as part of Ibanez’s upper-tiered J Custom line, this RG features a AAA flamed maple top highlighted by a Bright Brown Rutile gloss finish, HSH DiMarzio pickups, and an Edge Zero tremolo with ZPS3 stabilizer.
A basswood body, five-piece maple/walnut neck and thick slab ebony fretboard round out the tonewood complement, and this guitar has a balanced, immediate-sounding acoustic platform with glassy articulation and cut, qualities faithfully captured by the trio of DiMarzio pickups. The humbucker in the bridge position is a DiMarzio Tone Zone, a bold and powerful high-output pickup that offers great low end and lower-midrange response to ensure the tone stays full and fat. The neck humbucker is a DiMarzio Air Norton, a warm, open-sounding pickup designed with a unique magnetic structure to reduce string pull and increase sustain while maintaining dynamic feel and responsiveness to user inputs. The central single coil is a DiMarzio True Velvet, with single coil shimmer and snap, blending well with the humbuckers at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Ibanez weighs 7lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.
The five-piece maple/walnut neck sports Ibanez’s RG J Custom profile shape; a slender, fast-feeling carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .740” deep at the 1st fret and .840 at the 12th. The thick slab 24-fret ebony fingerboard has a 16” radius, and the medium jumbo fretwire is pristine. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the neck is reinforced by KTS titanium rods. The Top-Lok locking nut measures 43mm (1 11/16”) in width. The matching headstock sports a flame maple veneer, and the Gotoh SG381 tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with clean Cosmo Black plating.
All of the electronics function as intended, with the trio of DiMarzio pickups governed by a five-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone controls. The Edge Zero tremolo actuates smoothly and bounces back to pitch reliably, remaining stable through the deepest divebombs, assisted by the ZPS3 stabilizer, which also facilitates easier string changes and setups. The Cosmo Black hardware is all notably well-kept.
The gloss Bright Brown Rutile finish highlights the three-dimensional figuring on the bookmatched AAA flame maple top; this guitar is quite clean, with cosmetic wear limited to one finish chip at the edge of the belly contour and just a scant few tiny dings and faint scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile received Ibanez’s proprietary satin Velvetouch treatment, exhibiting no wear.
The original molded hardshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork, COA, and case candy.
