2013 Fulltone OCD Obsessive Compulsive Drive V1.7 Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal

Up for sale, a 2013 Fulltone OCD Obsessive Compulsive Drive Version 1 Series 7 overdrive pedal in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A pioneer in boutique effects, Fulltone introduced the OCD in the ‘90s, with several iterations gradually evolving the circuit over the years until Version 2 was officially released in 2017. This OCD is a V1.7, with a non-jumpered Germanium diode in the clipping section, 100K Volume pot, a focused low end response, and ample midrange harmonic content. Controls consist of Volume, Drive, Tone, and a High Pass/Low Pass toggle switch. With the Tone control and HP/LP filter, a wide range of distorted tones can be achieved, from round and beefy, to crisp, fizzy cut, while the saturation remains incredibly smooth at all settings. Rolling off Drive and turning up the Volume knob also allows the OCD to act as an effective clean boost. Cosmetic wear on the rugged white enclosure is limited to a scant few minor marks, and the graphics are pristine. Three of the original “Frankenstein” thumb screws are present, and the original knobs and silver foil serial label are intact. The circuit board has Version 1.7 printed on it (as opposed to the 1.4 seen on some earlier examples), and there are handwritten maker’s marks dating production to June, 2013 on the inside of the enclosure and on the Drive pot.
