2013 Fender Mando-Strat Mandocaster Electric Mandolin Sunburst, Mint Condition

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2013 Fender Mando-Strat Electric Mandolin in like-new, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A fairly rare and increasingly prized reissue of Fender's "Mandocaster," this instrument is a four string electric mandolin that follows the traditional Fender template with an alder body, maple neck, and slab 24 fret rosewood fingerboard, fitted with one single coil pickup. The tonal range is classic Fender sparkling cut and sweet warmth, with enough percussive chop to satisfy mandolin traditionalists. The instrument weighs 3lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh nickel roundwound 11-36 strings.

The neck has a deep V-shaped profile carve with a smooth gloss on the profile, measuring .850" deep at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th. The thick, dark rosewood slab fretboard retains flawless fretwire, playing cleanly up the 24 fret scale. The nut measures 1 1/8" in width, and the headstock retains the original flawless Fender logo and Kluson-style tuning machines.

The simple electronics function as intended, and hardware includes the two-saddle bridge with spiral saddles and pair of knurled knobs. The alder body has a vintage correct, early '60s three-tone Sunburst gloss finish with barely a scratch on it, accented by a brown tortoise pickguard.

A padded gigbag is included.
