Up for sale, a 2013 Fender Jazz Bass Koa limited edition model in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A very rare model produced in a single run in '13, this Fender Japan Jazz Bass features a carved heavily flamed koa top and ash body, accented by a single-ply transparent plexi pickguard and gold hardware.
Via the pickup pair, this bass offers plenty of punch, growl and upper midrange articulation and presence, and with the Tone knob rolled back to taste, the sound is broader and thumpier. The koa and ash tonewood pairing also yields a particularly detailed and layered midrange character. This Jazz Bass Koa weighs 8lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation.

The thick, carved koa top is highlighted by the gloss finish, with very tight curly flame figuring extending liberally across the top. Sparingly played since new, there are just a couple faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the back. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.
The original padded gigbag is included.
