Up for sale, a 2013 Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This now discontinued upscale model was produced in Japan at the Terada factory, loaded with Gibson USA P-90 pickups.
Lightweight at 6lbs 7oz, the thinline fully hollow maple body has an acoustic tone that’s both articulate and smooth, with a lively, woody cut. The Gibson P-90 pickups are wound to vintage spec with plenty of midrange bark and a glassy, percussive quality. Highly responsive to picking dynamics, this Casino excels at detailed cleans and overdriven bark, offering a very faithful analog for genuine 1960s examples. This Elitist 1965 Casino benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .850” 1st fret, .990” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, parallelogram inlays
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1.650”, bone
-Tuners: Grover Rotomatics
-Serialization: T13-prefix (2013)
-Factory Markings:“Epiphone Elitist” decal on back of peghead
Body Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Pickups: P-90 x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone x2, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: ABR-1-style bridge, trapeze tailpiece, “dogear” pickup covers
-Plastics: Three-ply white pickguard with "E" Epsilon badge, gold reflector cap knobs
The gloss Vintage Sunburst finish shows only a few faint finish scratches on the back and just a couple small dings on the perimeter. The gloss on the neck profile shows no wear.
