2012 Rickenbacker 4003 Electric Bass Fireglo, Mint Condition w/ Case & Hangtags, 4001

Up for sale, a 2012 Rickenbacker 4003 in showroom clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, factory paperwork and case candy. Sporting a gloss Fireglo finish, this iconic instrument has a rich midrange character and distinctive tonal color. Channeling plenty of power and articulation via the neck through maple body, this 4003 offers smooth growl and ample low end richness. Weighing 9lbs 3oz and strung with 45-105 roundwound strings, we've had this Rickenbacker professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with comfortable action and spot-on intonation.The maple neck has a round and inviting D-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder, measuring .900" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. The gloss-finished rosewood fretboard sports triangular pearl inlays which extend all the way to the fretboard edges, and the medium jumbo fretwire is virtually unplayed and sports perfectly rounded crowns. The bass plays well in all registers up the 33 1/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive pair of optimally adjusted truss rods. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the clover button tuning machines turn smoothly and the "Rickenbacker" logo truss rod cover is intact.All of the electronics function flawlessly, and the Hi-Gain pickup pair has healthy, balanced output wired to stereo Rick-o-Sound jacks. The bass also features the push/pull Tone knob which engages a filter consistent with the wiring of '70s Ric basses (accentuating the upper midrange and thinning the signal a bit). The chrome hardware is positively gleaming including the bridge, pickup bezel, and pickup cover, and all plastic parts are near mint as well, with the original "USA" foil sticker still intact on the pickguard. There's barely a scratch on the body, and the neck profile gloss is flawless.The original Rickenbacker molded hardshell case is included, along with all factory paperwork and case candy.
