Up for sale, a 2012 Rickenbacker 360/12C63 in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original silver hardshell case and all factory paperwork. Rickenbacker's most faithful vintage reissue of the instrument made famous by George Harrison, the C63 model is true to the original in every respect, with more correct pickups, fretboard radius, neck shape, and internal bracing than the earlier V64 reissues. With a striking double bound semi-hollow maple body and X bracing, the acoustic sound is lively and resonant, ringing out with a smoothness and power that translates well through the scatterwound Toaster Top single coil pickups. The jangle, clarity and cut on tap is an instantly recognizable set of tones, and the Toaster Top pickups are perfectly suited to capturing the complex top end character of the 12 string design. The guitar weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and fresh strings. The maple/walnut three-piece neck has a chunky D-shaped profile carve with particularly round maple shoulders, flatter on the walnut third central to the neck shape. The profile measures .890" deep at the 1st fret and .935" at the 12th, filling the palm and fretting easily. The rosewood fretboard is bound, with red side dots and triangular pearloid inlays that extend all the way to the fretboard edges. The fretboard has a 7 1/2" radius, a notable feature of the C63 (rounder than the V64 model) and one that has received near unanimous praise from Ric enthusiasts for its vintage accuracy and ease of playability. The slender frets are flawless, playing cleanly in every register up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rods. The nut measures 1.650" in width, and the headstock features Rickenbacker's vintage-spec lucite truss rod cover and Ric Deluxe double line Kluson-style tuning machines that turn very smoothly. All of the electronics function flawlessly, with Rickenbacker's traditional five knob layout and stereo Rick-O-Sound functionality. The chrome hardware and plastic parts are practically perfect, including the trapeze tailpiece, bridge cover, and original quintet of knobs. The Fireglo finish is flawless, save for a couple tiny nicks on the back. The gloss finish on the neck profile is similarly immaculate. The original silver tolex hardshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork.
