Up for sale, a 2012 Paul Reed Smith DGT Standard electric guitar in exceptional condition and in perfect working order with a Dark Emerald Green gloss finish. In 2012, PRS introduced a new take on the popular DGT (David Grissom Trem) model featuring an all-mahogany construction, retaining many of the features unique to the DGT including Grissom’s signature neck shape, slightly larger frets, tremolo capability, and specially designed DGT pickups. Grissom and Paul spent a year A/B-ing more than forty sets of pickups before nailing the vintage-voice of the DGT humbuckers. Paired with individual Volume controls for each pickup and a push/pull Master Tone control which operates the coil taps, the DGT pickups provide top-notch versatility and articulation. Weighing 8lbs 4oz, this PRS has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The mahogany neck profile has a smooth gloss finish, and while technically a "Wide Fat" shape based on the profile depth measurements, the shoulders are so slight at the nut that the neck feels like a modestly chunky soft V, gaining more shoulder and roundness and filling out to a proper C in the higher registers. The profile measures .840” deep at the 1st fret and .945” at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius with crescent inlay and pristine medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays effortlessly up the arrow straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 25", and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the locking tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well, even with liberal vibrato use.

The stock electronics work as they should, with a three-way selector switch, individual Volume controls, and a push/pull Master Tone knob governing the pair of custom DGT humbuckers. The tremolo responds very smoothly and actuates with ease for expressive warbles and dives. The nickel hardware shows very light surface patina, particularly on the pickup covers, and plastics include the transparent lampshade knobs and cream pickup surrounds. The gloss transparent Dark Emerald Green burst finish subtly showcases the mahogany grain on top, and cosmetic wear is limited to faint scuffing mostly at the treble side of the pick path and a couple minuscule finish chips on the top edge at the treble side lower bout.

A hardshell case is included.
