Up for sale, a 2012 Trussart SteelDeville in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. James Trussart works with steel as the foundation of his builds, and instruments under the Trussart name have attracted a stunning who's-who list of luminaries, from Bob Dylan and Keith Richards to Marc Ribot and Tom Morello.

The SteelDeville is a classic single cutaway design with a hollow steel body paired with a maple neck and capped with a bound 24 fret rosewood fingerboard. The resulting natural acoustic tone is not dissimilar from a resonator with a snappy, barking cut. The boutique TV Jones PowerTron humbuckers are a perfect compliment to the instrument's construction for an array of authoritative, vintage-flavored tonalities. Born out of TV Jones' desire to create a humbucker with a PAF-style character, the PowerTron retains the essence of a traditional Gretsch Filter'Tron while boasting larger bobbins, standard humbucker-sized wire, and more windings for a badder, gnarlier older brother to Jones' TV Classic. This Trussart weighs 9lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium C profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, ostensibly Trussart's "59 Standard" carve, yet more slender on the whole than most Gibson necks from that particular model year. The profile measures .850" deep at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features a full 24 fret range, ivoroid binding, dot inlay, a 10" radius, and medium jumbo 6130-size fretwire. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The carved bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features Trussart's recessed steel head cap which adds mass to the headstock and increases sustain.

The electronics function as intended, with the TV Jones PowerTron humbuckers wired to a traditional LP-style control array with dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup and heavy duty metal knobs. The wiring harness features CTS pots, premium paper-in-oil tone caps, and treble bleed circuits on the Volume controls so treble detail is retained as the knobs are turned down. Hardware includes the roller bridge and Bigsby B7 vibrato, and the Bigsby has a smooth response. This Trussart features a perforated back plate and Rust-o-Matic distressing, with virtually no wear beyond Trussart's aging.

The original hardshell case and hangtags are included.
