Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2012 Ibanez Prestige RG2770FZ in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case and hangtags. This upper-tiered Ibanez was produced in Japan as part of the Prestige line, featuring an HSH trio of DiMarzio IBZ pickups, an Edge Zero tremolo system with a ZPS3 stabilizer, and a gloss Red Spinel finish.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body with a bookmatched two-piece flame maple top and a maple/walnut neck capped with a 24-fret slab rosewood fretboard. A triple pickup HSH affair with a five-way blade pickup selector, both the IBZ humbuckers featured on the RG2770FZ are high-output models. The neck pickup is fairly bright-sounding, similar to a Super 2 (DP104). The bridge pickup has additional power and sonic breadth, resembling a cross between the Steve Morse Bridge Model (DP200) and the Super Distortion (DP100). The centrally located IBZ-S single coil has Alnico V magnet construction, warmer sounding than a typical single coil and designed to work well with the humbuckers in positions 2-4 on the switch. This RG2770FZ weighs 8lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Red Spinel finish highlights the tight wall-to-wall tiger flame figuring in the two-piece maple top, and cosmetic wear is limited to some scuffing on top along the pick path and just a scant few tiny nicks on the body as a whole. The neck has a smooth satin finish.

The original molded hardshell case with form-fit plush interior is included, along with a couple hangtags.
