Up for sale, a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio Min-ETune in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with power supply, hardshell case, and factory paperwork. One of the less common models to boast Gibson's "robot" Min-ETune system, the Studio has all of the essential features of a Les Paul model, finished in a gloss nitro lacquer Vintage Sunburst.
The Min-ETune system is a compact, battery-powered robot tuner that tunes your guitar in seconds and delivers 80-100 tunings on one charge. Turn on the Min-ETune to tune all six strings to perfect pitch automatically, or select any of 12 popular alternate tunings (including 6 you can program yourself). You can even adjust your guitar’s tunings to match other instruments. With a carved, two-piece maple top, weight-relieved mahogany body, and one-piece mahogany neck, this Les Paul retains all the essential tonewood ingredients, weighing 8lbs 6oz.
The pickups are the same humbucker pair utilized in a Les Paul Standard, with a 490R in the neck position and 498T at the bridge. These humbuckers have a wide tonal palette, with the Alnico II magnets in the neck pickup offering more chime and warmth, while the Alnico V bridge pickup has a cut and snarl that cuts through with classic Gibson sizzle and roar. We've had this Les Paul professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The neck has Gibson's Slim Taper C shape, a fast, effortless carve that still has some meat in the shoulders and isn't overly slender, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard retains the original flawless fretwire, playing cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures a full 1 11/16 in width, and the Min-ETune system on the headstock functions as intended.
Electronics include the original humbucker pair, and in addition to the dedicated Volume and Tone controls for each pickup, the guitar also boasts individual push-pull coil taps for single coil operation. The nickel hardware is positively gleaming, and all original plastic parts are intact. The Vintage Sunburst two-tone gloss nitro lacquer finish exhibits light finish checking adjacent to the knobs, a few small nicks on top on the lower bout bass-side body edge, and similarly restrained wear on the back. The neck profile is flawless.
The black tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included, along with a power supply for the Min-ETune system, and all of the factory tags and paperwork.
