Up for sale, a 2012 Fender Thinline Mustang model MG/HO in showroom-clean condition, complete with the original hangtags and padded Fender gigbag. One of Fender Japan's rarest and most highly sought after Mustang models, this guitar features a bound semi-hollow alder body.
Featherweight at only 6lbs 4oz, this guitar has a full, detailed acoustic voice with a range of snappy, sparkling tones including the Mustang's unique out of phase sound when the on/off/on pickup switches are in their innermost or outermost points. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 11-49 strings, this Mustang MG/HO features low action and accurate intonation.
The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut, with round shoulders in every register and a gentle increase in additional heft further up the fretboard, measuring .815" deep at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th. The bound, dark rosewood fretboard has a vintage spec 7 1/4" radius, with flawless medium fretwire that plays cleanly up the 24" scale. The neck is straight and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. Â The fretboard width at the nut measures 1 9/16", measured from the outside edges of the binding. On the headstock the Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well, even with liberal use of the vibrato.
The electronics function flawlessly, the chrome-plated hardware is gleaming, and the white pearloid pickguard retains its clear protective factory film. There's barely a scratch on the three-tone Sunburst gloss finish.
The original padded Fender gigbag and hangtags are included.
