Up for sale, a 2012 Fender Jazz Bass ‘75 vintage reissue model JB75 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass features a number of vintage-correct touches including a block logo, three-bolt neck plate, and a bound maple fretboard with block inlays.
Weighing 10lbs 2oz, this bass offers natural fundamental punch and sonic authority, with great midrange presence and note attack via the ash body, balanced by the articulation and brightness of maple. Plugged in, the low end is thick and focused, with a present upper-midrange burp and treble-centric grind. This Jazz Bass JB75 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, measuring .830” 1st fret, .965” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Maple (bound), vintage-spec 7 1/4” radius, pearloid block inlay
-Frets: Medium jumbo, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Clover buttons
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” JD12-prefix
-Factory Markings: Model stamp on neck heel
Body Specs:
-Wood: Ash
-Pickups: JB-Single single coil x2
-Controls: Volume x2, Tone
-Hardware: Bridge with steel barrel saddles, control plate
-Plastics: Three-ply white pickguard, black pointer knobs
The gloss Natural finish highlights the straight grain of the ash body, with cosmetic wear limited to a handful of faint scratches in the clear coat, primarily on the back. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, save for one shallow mark of note on the treble side of the carve behind the 2nd fret (not distracting to the palm while fretting).
A Fender-branded gigbag is included.
