2012 Fender Competition Mustang '73 Vintage Reissue MG73-CO Fiesta Red, Japan MIJ

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2012 Fender Competition Mustang '73 vintage reissue model MG73-CO in near-mint, 100% original condition with a Fiesta Red custom color finish and matching headstock. Made exclusively for the Japanese market, this Mustang is rarely seen outside its country of origin. Often considered to rival Fender's US production in terms of overall quality, this Mustang is a testament to the workmanship and eye for detail evident in the Made in Japan Fender models.

The stock single coil pickups have a clear, cutting tone, and the on/off/on pickup selector switches can also engage the distinctive Mustang out-of-phase sound. The guitar is featherweight at 6lbs 13oz, and the crisp, jangling voice when strummed acoustically translates well through the pickups. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Mustang is strung with 9-42 strings and features low action and spot-on intonation.
