Up for sale, a 2012 Fender American Vintage '69 Telecaster Thinline in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and Fender strap. A rare and discontinued American Vintage model, the ‘69 Thinline was only produced from 2012-2013.
Featuring a semi-hollow mahogany body finished in gloss Olympic White nitro lacquer and paired with a one-piece maple neck, this Thinline has a rich and resonant natural acoustic quality. The mahogany body ensures a certain warmth and bark, while the semi-hollow construction adds an airy quality to the tone. The American Vintage black bobbin single coil pair features alnico V magnets with plenty of traditional Tele bite, twang, and snap on tap. Featherweight at 6lbs 3oz, this ‘69 Thinline has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, solid intonation, and low action.
The one-piece maple neck has a modestly chunky U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .860" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. The slender frets are practically perfect, and the guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1.650" in width, and the headstock features Fender F tuning machines that turn smoothly with gleaming chrome plating.
On the body, the stock electronics work as they should, with a three-way pickup selector and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The chrome plated hardware has ample shine, and the plastic parts are near mint. Cosmetic wear on the Olympic White nitro lacquer gloss finish includes a couple small finish chips on the body perimeter, one minor scuff behind the bridge, and some finish bleed in the gloss (darker than the surrounding Olympic White) along the lower bout body edge. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.
The original black tolex G&G hardshell case, hangtags, and Fender strap are included.
