Up for sale, a 2012 Fender American Vintage '69 Telecaster Thinline Reissue in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and Fender strap. A rare and discontinued American Vintage model, the ‘69 Thinline was only produced from 2012-2013.Featuring a semi-hollow mahogany body finished in gloss Olympic White nitro lacquer finish paired with a one-piece maple neck, this Thinline has a natural sweet, chiming acoustic quality. The mahogany body ensures a certain warmth and bark, while the semi-hollow construction adds an airy quality to the tone. The American Vintage black bobbin single coil pair features alnico V magnets with plenty of traditional Tele bite, twang, and snap on tap. Featherweight at 6lbs, this ‘69 Thinline has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 9-46 strings, solid intonation, and low action. The one-piece maple neck has a full chunky C neck profile carve bordering on a very soft V at the nut, with lightly rolled fretboard edges and ample shoulder as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. The slender frets are flawless, and the guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale with notes that ring out clearly. The nut measures a full 1.650" in width, and the headstock features Fender F tuning machines that turn smoothly with gleaming chrome plating. On the body, the stock electronics work as they should, with untouched solder joints and CTS pots that date to the 21st week of 2011. The chrome plated hardware has ample shine, and the white pearloid pickguard still retains the original clear protective factory plastic, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen in the past decade. Cosmetic wear on the Olympic White nitro lacquer gloss finish is limited to a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the back and a very faint scuff just north of the bridge baseplate. The original black tolex G&G hardshell case, hangtags, and Fender strap are included.
