Up for sale, a 2012 Fender American Vintage ‘65 Jaguar, near-mint and complete with the original G&G hardshell case, hangtags and case candy. Offered for just a few short years at the end of the original American Vintage run and now discontinued, the '65 American Vintage models are extremely well-made and faithful to their vintage forebears. This particular Jaguar features a "Flash Coat" nitro lacquer Candy Apple Red finish. A rebranding of the Thin Skin concept, the finish is pure, thin nitro without a poly sealer coat, ensuring optimal acoustic resonance.
The AV65 gray bobbin single coils are snappier, brighter, and more vintage-correct than previous Jaguar reissue pickup winds, and the guitar offers a balanced, sweet sound and great clarity for strummed passages and shimmering lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for darker, meatier tones, or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. This American Vintage ‘65 Jaguar weighs 8lbs 8oz, professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
