Up for sale, a 2012 Fender Stratocaster ‘68 vintage reissue model ST68-TX RH in showroom-clean condition, complete with hangtags. This rare “Made in Japan” model channels Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock Strat with a suite of 1968-centric features, Fender USA Texas Special pickups, and a reverse headstock.
Weighing 8lbs 1oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a maple neck with a maple cap fretboard. The Texas Special single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered/unbeveled alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of sparkling classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap. The bridge pickup delivers plenty of heat and spank, and the neck has a full, bell-like quality. From Monterey Pop to Woodstock, these pickups can deliver the goods, handling gain well with plenty of articulate sparkle and spank. This Hendrix-style Stratocaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
