Up for sale, a 2012 Epiphone Limited Edition 1962 Sheraton Outfit E212TN in showroom-clean condition, complete with the original hardshell case. One of just 1,962 ever made, this rare model was part of Epiphone’s “1962” 50th Anniversary Collection, a limited run dedicated to recreating one of Epiphone’s most influential eras of instrument production. Vintage-accurate touches include a pair of Gibson USA pickups, upscale multi-ply body and neck binding, pearl block inlays bisected by abalone Vs, gold hardware, and a Frequensator tailpiece, and this particular Sheraton has been refurbished by the MIRC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Center).
The pair of Gibson USA mini humbuckers offer the sonic range and versatility of an ES-355, with a more snappy top end and bell-like chime. The guitar delivers a bold, shimmering bridge pickup sound with great midrange bounce and cut. There’s a rich growl when digging in at the bridge, while the neck pickup has a woody bark, fat yet clear. Weighing 7lbs 12oz, this E212TN has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
