Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2011 Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Bass in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A discontinued model designed by My Chemical Romance's bassist Mikey Way, this Mustang Bass has a Large Flake Silver Sparkle finish accented by a black competition stripe, and the clear coat has gracefully aged to a more golden tint. The bass features a basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fingerboard, strung with D'addario Chromes flatwound 45-100 strings and offering plenty of smooth thump and round, authoritative low end punch via the passive humbucking pickup. The bass weighs 8lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut, with more heft and shoulder as you travel up the fretboard, and lightly rolled fretboard edges for added comfort. The profile measures .805" deep at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, with narrow/tall fretwire that has perfectly rounded crowns and shows zero wear, playing cleanly up the 30" scale. The neck is straight and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. The nut measures 1 1/2" in width, and the headstock has bright chrome tuning machines with clover buttons.

The simple electronics function as they should, with Master Volume and Tone knobs for the single humbucker. The chrome plating on the hardware is gleaming, and all original plastics are intact with just a few faint pick marks across the three-ply pickguard. There's barely a scratch on the gloss body finish, and the satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.

A gigbag is included.
