Up for sale, a 2011 Gibson Limited Edition Vampire Blood Moon Explorer in like-new, 100% original condition, complete with the original hardshell case and owner’s manual. This rare, Dracula-approved iteration of the Explorer platform was limited to just 400 pieces, featuring Gibson’s satin “Juju” black/red grain filler finish accented with (or perhaps “dripping with” would be more applicable) blood red touches including the headstock logo, blood drop fretboard inlays, and plastics.
Tonewoods include a swamp ash body, mahogany neck, and notably dark rosewood fingerboard, and this Vampire Blood Moon Explorer weighs 8lbs 8oz. This Explorer is loaded with a pair of Gibson’s GEM (Gibson Electronics Manufacturing) active humbuckers: these pickups are designed to offer traditional PAF-style tones with improved output and extremely low-noise performance, featuring Alnico II magnet construction. This Limited Edition Vampire Blood Moon Explorer has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
