2011 Gibson Les Paul Special DC Shiner Bock, TV Yellow w/ Case

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2011 Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut Shiner Bock model in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Sitting at the confluence of longnecks and mahogany necks, this rare Les Paul Special sports a large Shiner “Rock the Bock” ram graphic over a TV Yellow gloss nitro lacquer finish. Gibson has produced a few different promotional guitars for the iconic Texas brewery over the years, and this double-cut Les Paul is among the rarest of the bunch, ostensibly produced for a promotional giveaway in 2011.

If you’re hunting for overdrive tones as sweet and creamy as Shiner Bock itself, you can’t beat a P-90, and these pickups deliver all of the glassiness and bark inherent to the iconic design, with a midrange-forward kick and dense harmonic overtones. The pickups channel the natural midrange warmth of the mahogany body and neck, and a slab rosewood fretboard rounds out the tonewood complement. Featherweight at 7lbs 2oz, this Shiner Les Paul has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
