Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Telecaster Custom '62 vintage reissue model TL62B in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This "Made in Japan" Telecaster is a rare, discontinued model, meant only for the Japanese domestic market, featuring a gloss Ice Blue Metallic finish framed by ivory top and back binding. The guitar delivers classic Tele chewy twang and cut, with a shimmering snap in the bridge position and a smooth, round-sounding neck pickup with a bell-like chime. This alder-bodied Tele weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings and low action.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .820” deep at the 1st fret and .905” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard boasts Fender's traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius, with original slender fretwire that retains its full factory height, showing light wear on the crowns beneath the plain strings on frets 1-11. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale, with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut is a carved piece of bone, measuring 42.5mm in width (1.675"). On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The U-prefix serial number and "Made in Japan" text is present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, with a three-way pickup selector and Master Volume and Tone knobs governing the stock pickup pair. The "Pat. Pending" bridge plate and finely grooved spiral saddles are consistent with 1962 Fender spec, showing some surface patina, and the original flat-topped knurled metal knobs and parchment pickguard round out the look. The control plate and knobs have gleaming chrome plating.

The gloss Ice Blue Metallic finish is exceedingly well-kept, showing just a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the body as a whole, while the ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
