Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Stratocaster ‘71 vintage reissue model ST71/ASH in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This discontinued “Made in Japan” Strat was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market, uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring an ash body with a gloss Natural finish and vintage-accurate touches including a large headstock with block logo, three-bolt neck plate, and block saddles.
This Strat has an immediate acoustic response with the midrange detail and note attack inherent to ash as a tonewood. The trio of ST-Single ceramic magnet single coil pickups have a clear sound, with more punch and cut than alnico magnet varieties, offering a sparkling sound in the bridge position, a fat, authoritative quality at the neck, and hollow quack at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Strat weighs 8lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Natural finish exhibits only light buckle rash central to the back (largely constrained to the trem cavity cover), one finish chip on the lower bout perimeter adjacent to the rear strap button, and just a couple tiny marks on the body as a whole. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original gigbag is included.
