Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Pawn Shop ‘72 in perfect working order, upgraded with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker. Fender’s short-lived Pawn Shop line, released in 2011, was produced in Japan and featured unique amalgamations of classic Fender components and designs. A notably rare first-run iteration of this Pawn Shop model, this guitar features a different Fender logo and tuner set than the majority of examples from this model's limited run.

The ‘72 model pairs a semi-hollow alder Strat-style body with a maple Tele-style neck. The pickup complement comprises the original Wide Range humbucker in the neck position, with an upgraded Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB at the bridge. The Wide Range humbucker has a broad, articulate sound with a distinctive percussive cut and treble sparkle. The SH-4 is Seymour Duncan's “original hot-rodded humbucker." The low end is full and powerful, the highs are crisp and detailed, and there’s an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords and translates to a singing, vocal-like quality for melodic playing. Forgoing a traditional pickup selector, the '72 has a Blend knob that offers a smooth gradient between the two distinctive-sounding humbuckers. This Pawn Shop '72 model weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
