Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Jazzmaster model JM60/VSP, near-mint and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtag. The VSP line was Fender Japan's top tier at the time of production, made in small quantities and notably rare, boasting a gloss nitro lacquer finish and USA-spec CTS pots in the Lead Circuit. For players that gravitate towards the top quality fit and finish for which Fender Japan is known, this is an excellent choice, and this discontinued model was only offered to the Japanese domestic market.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard, and the instrument has a clear, resonant natural acoustic quality. The single coil pickup pair offers a range of powerful and defined tones, with sparkling cut in the bridge position, and smoother, warmer tonalities at the neck. Switching to the Rhythm Circuit on the lower body horn engages a dedicated circuit for the neck pickup with a darker, wooly tonal color.
