Up for sale, a 2011 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-US in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” bass is a discontinued model that rivals Fender’s American Vintage line of instruments, with USA-made pickups and vintage-spec touches including full-size tuner baseplates and spiral bridge saddles.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JB62-US weighs 9lbs 8oz. The Fender USA single coil pickups have plenty of sweet midrange and articulate grind, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump when dialing back the Tone knob. This bass benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Slender U at nut, more heft in upper registers, measuring .805” 1st fret, .999” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4" vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 34”

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish is limited to faint buckle worming on the back (concentrated near the neck plate), a couple marks along the lower bout perimeter, and a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
