This “Made in Japan” bass is a discontinued model that rivals Fender’s American Vintage line of instruments, with USA-made pickups and vintage-spec touches including full-size tuner baseplates and spiral bridge saddles. Upgraded from stock, this bass also boasts USA-spec components in the wiring harness including CTS pots and cloth-covered leads.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this JB62-US weighs 9lbs 7oz. The Fender USA single coil pickups have plenty of sweet midrange and articulate grind, with a clear treble response and plenty of broad thump when dialing back the Tone knob.
