Up for sale, a 2011 Edwards by ESP Limited Model E-LP-108LTS electric guitar in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A premium Japanese-made iteration of the Les Paul Standard platform, this quality instrument boasts a satin nitro lacquer finish, figured bookmatched flame maple top, mahogany body and neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard. The traditional tonewood complement ensures a rich, powerful array of LP tones and singing sustain that translates well through the factory-installed USA-made Seymour Duncan humbuckers.
From rich warmth to ripping drive and growl, this LP covers a ton of tonal ground. The SH-1 in the neck position was designed in the spirit of the original PAF, wound to deliver full-sounding chords and midrange-forward attack. The SH-4 bridge pickup on the other hand is Duncan's original hot-rodded humbucker. The low end is full and powerful, the highs are crisp and detailed, and there’s an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords that translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when playing single notes or solos. The guitar weighs 9lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
The mahogany neck has a round, modestly chunky C-shaped profile carve, measuring .860" deep at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th. The bound rosewood is a notably dark and tight-grained cut, sporting flared trapezoid inlay and pristine stock medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays well in all registers up the straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard has a 12” radius, and the guitar conforms to traditional Gibson spec with a 24 3/4" scale length and 1 11/16" carved bone nut. The headstock is distinctive for retaining an "open book" shape, with gold silkscreen "Limited Model" text and Kluson Deluxe single line tuners with lightly greened tulip buttons that turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should.
The electronics all function flawlessly, with Seymour Duncan humbuckers wired to a traditional LP control layout, featuring a three-way pickup selector toggle and individual Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup with full-size pots. The stock nickel ABR-1-style bridge and stoptail are clean, and the neck pickup cover shows light surface patina. The original plastic parts are in great shape, including the quartet of amber bonnet knobs. The satin nitro lacquer finish is a brilliant Cherry Sunburst with bookmatched tiger maple figuring that extends evenly across the top. Cosmetic wear is limited to a stray small mark on the back bass-side upper bout, with faint scattered scuffs in the clear coat mostly relegated to the perimeter and back of the instrument. The neck sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.
A gigbag is included.
