2011 Boss PS-6 Harmonist Guitar Effects Pedal w/ Box, Paperwork

Up for sale, a 2011 Boss PS-6 Harmonist pitch-shifter pedal in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and factory paperwork. Released in 2010, the PS-6 combines four intelligent pitch effects in one pedalboard-friendly stompbox: Harmony, Pitch Shifter, Detune, and S-Bend (Super Bend) are all present, thanks to Boss’s uber-compact DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology. In Harmony, Pitch Shifter, and Detune modes, the PS-6 can generate two or three additional voices on top of the input guitar sound, leading to rich, deep, and wholly unique sounds. The four knobs belie a remarkably versatile control suite, which varies depending on the mode engaged at any given time. Harmony mode can be engaged as either Major and Minor, with the key selected from any of the standard Western 12 tones at the Key knob, and the specific chord voicing selected from any of the 11 options at the Shift knob. Detune functions similarly, delivering two or three additional voices, but in a decidedly discordant manner and almost producing a chorus-like underwater feel. The Pitch Shift function can deliver instant monophonic shifts, depending on the Balance and Shift knobs, but can also produce doubled and tripled parts similarly Detune and Harmony. Finally, S-Bend allows the PS-6 to function like a variable bender, jumping to the selected pitch as long as the pedal is depressed. The speed of the bend is selected at the Balance knob, with the breadth of the bend (up to four octaves in either direction) selected at the Shift knob. The sheer scope of this pedal lends itself to extensive experimentation, with a design like no other one pedal. This particular unit is in fantastic shape, with barely a mark on the sparkle blue enclosure. The original box and Japanese paperwork is included.
