Up for sale, a 2011 Aria Pro II SB-CB bass in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. A Cliff Burton signature iteration of the SB-1000 platform, the SB-CB is a post-Matsumoku factory Aria build, crafted by Samick in Korea.The smoothly sculpted neck-through body construction offers superb sustain and unbeatable access to the upper frets, with a seven-ply maple/walnut neck and ash body wings. The MB-1E double coil pickup has ample output, and the “B.B. Circuit” is an active EQ that provides six different shades of focused midrange. This SB-CB balances well on a strap and weighs a solid 9lbs 12oz, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar bar with 45-100 roundwound strings and comfortable action.The 7-ply maple/walnut neck is capped by a thick slab ebony fretboard which features pearloid oval inlay, and the stock medium jumbo frets have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing only very light wear on frets 1-3. The bass plays cleanly up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is a full 34”, and the brass nut measures 1 9/16“ in width. The headstock retains the original Gotoh GB720 tuners, which turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.On the body, the electronics function as intended, with Master Volume and Tone controls and a mini toggle switch to engage the active six-way “B.B. Circuit." The small battery indicator light activates when a cable is plugged in, and the pickup and preamp are powered by two 9v batteries, accessible from the back of the instrument. Hardware includes the Gotoh J510-B4 Quick Release four-saddle top-loader bridge with flawless black plating, and the original trio of knobs are similarly clean.Cosmetic wear on the Black finish is limited to a number of light finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss, particularly concentrated along the pick path, and a scant few tiny dings on the back. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is immaculate.The original hardshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork.
