Up for sale, a 2010s Mosrite Ventures Model '63 vintage reissue model in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. One of the rarest Fillmore-made Mosrites ever produced, this top-tier model replicates the Ventures Model's earliest features with set neck construction, input jack located on the side of the body, and multi-ply binding framing the German Carve top. Visually unique, the guitar boasts a Blue Sparkle gloss finish, blue sparkle smooth pickup covers, and blue accents on the Vibramute vibrato tailpiece. The single coil pickups have ample power and midrange content, wound properly to vintage-spec and metering at 11.7k ohms, providing an authoritative sound that's quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 9lbs 8oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a quintessential medium C-shaped profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .835” deep at the 1st fret and .870” at the 12th. On the bound, extremely dark rosewood fretboard, the original slender frets show only light wear on the crowns of frets 1-8, playing cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod, accessed from the heel. The fretboard measures 41mm in width (just shy of 1 5/8") at the zero fret, just forward of the aluminum nut. The Blue Sparkle-finished headstock features the Mosrite of California text, with genuine Kluson Deluxe single line tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch reliably. The serial number is stamped on the last fret into the rosewood.

On the body, all of the stock electronics work as they should, with untouched solder joints and USA-made full-size pots. The 1963 look is rounded out with a single-ply pickguard, smooth (non-embossed) pickup covers, and chrome-plated metal Mosrite knobs machined with smooth tops (the design that predated the "M" knobs). The “Vibramute” vibrato is extremely smooth and elegant, touch-sensitive in its responsiveness and made to exacting vintage spec with a sandcast base and chrome-plated string anchor. The vibrato spring is taut and tall, and the arm sits at an ideal height off the body.

The body has the elegant Sidejack body shape with a smooth, rounded back contour, subtle belly carve, and prominent German Carve on the multi-ply bound top. Cosmetic wear on the Blue Sparkle gloss is limited to a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat central to the back. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original brown hardshell case is included. This case features clean brown leather ends, functional latches, and the original leather handle.
