Up for sale, a 2010 Santa Cruz D/PW Pre-War Dreadnought acoustic/electric guitar in near-mint condition, complete with a hardshell case. Santa Cruz's "Pre-War" scalloped/advanced X top bracing yields a complex traditional tone with warm low end and solid projection. The top has had time to open up and resonate as few newer instruments can, making the most of its purposeful Pre-War design for a tone that is very expressive.
Weighing 4lbs 5oz, the solid Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides deliver a sound with sparkling top end, tons of projection, and impressive boom and kick in the bass register. There's a dry snap to the top end, and the tone is very even and balanced up the fretboard. A K&K Pure Mini pickup has been added, and this three transducer design mounted to the bridge plate delivers a warm, woody, and highly transparent tone that closely mimics the guitar's natural voice without the artificial "quack" typical of traditional piezo undersaddle pickups.
