Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Stratocaster model ST72-FR SSH in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. A very rare Japanese domestic market model virtually unseen outside its country of origin, this Fender features an SSH pickup configuration, Floyd Rose-style locking vibrato, 22 fret rosewood fretboard with jumbo fretwire, and distinctive large '70s headstock shape with block logo. Designed for high gain performance, the Gotoh humbucker in the bridge position dishes out plenty of power and punch, with middle and neck position ceramic magnet single coils that are ideal for cutting cleans and articulate phrasing. The guitar weighs 8lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with lightly rolled fretboard edges and round shoulders in every register, measuring .805" deep at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th. The 22 fret slab rosewood fretboard retains the stock jumbo fretwire which has tons of meat, showing moderate wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-9, with wear growing fainter until the octave. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"). The headstock features Gotoh tuning machines which turn smoothly, working in concert with the locking nut to ensure optimal tuning stability. The "Made in Japan" text and T-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics function as intended, with the SSH pickup array wired to a five-way pickup selector toggle. The Gotoh High Stability Tremolo System is a high quality Floyd Rose variant with comparable performance and gleaming chrome plating. The gloss Black finish shows just a few faint finish scratches and minor nicks on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is clean and smooth, with a few small marks on the treble-side shoulder.

An upgraded molded form-fit Fender hardshell case is included.
