Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Stratocaster ‘62 vintage reissue model ST62-US in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, upgraded with full-size CTS pots, a Sprague Orange Drop capacitor, and Kluson Deluxe tuning machines. Crafted exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and rarely seen outside of its country of origin, this ST62-US is finished in custom color Fiesta Red and features USA-made American Vintage 57/62 single coils with black bobbins, staggered alnico magnets, and cloth-covered leads.

Designed to pay homage to the golden era Pre-CBS Stratocaster, this Fender has a balanced, clear natural acoustic quality with a basswood body, maple neck and thick slab rosewood fretboard. The bridge pickup provides sweet sparkle and snap, the neck pickup is bold and round with a throaty cut, and the "in-between" positions on the five-way pickup selector switch deliver ample thinned-out Strat quack. This Strat weighs 8lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .810” deep at the 1st fret and .915” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a vintage spec 7 1/4“ radius, dot inlay, and pristine stock slender fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1.650” (42mm) in width, upgraded to a hand-carved piece of bone. On the headstock, the upgraded set of genuine Kluson Deluxe tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The “Made in Japan” text and U-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.

All of the electronics work as intended, and the trio of USA-made Fender single coil pickups are wired to the upgraded harness with a Sprague Orange Drop tone cap and 250k CTS pots. The tremolo has a full-size block for optimal sustain, and the chrome hardware shines like new, save for light patina across the bridge saddles. Plastics include an upgraded trio of Fender USA knobs and a one-ply parchment pickguard. This is an exceedingly well-kept example, with cosmetic wear on the gloss Fiesta Red finish limited to a scant few tiny dings on the lower bout perimeter and a handful of faint finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth ambered gloss.

A gigbag is included.
