Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Medium Scale Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62M in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. This rare 32” scale iteration of the Jazz Bass platform also has a scaled-down 7/8ths-size body, produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market.Tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard. With the same range of tones as its full-size brethren, this Jazz Bass delivers plenty of bridge pickup growl, burp, and aggressive cut, with a neck pickup that is inherently warmer and thumpier. The bass weighs 8lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.The maple neck has a slender U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .805” deep at the 1st fret and .960” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a modern 9.5” radius and retains pristine stock slender fretwire. This bass plays cleanly up the 32” scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 1/2” in width. The headstock features the correct ‘60s-style Jazz Bass logo and clover button tuners which turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The "Made in Japan" text and T-prefix serial are present above the four-bolt neck plate.On the body, all of the electronics work as intended, with the pickups governed by a Volume/Volume/Tone control array. All the chrome-plated hardware shines like new and plastics are equally as well-kept, with the three-ply white pickguard retaining the clear protective factory film. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to a few faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is similarly clean and smooth.The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
